  • Where the river Talloria, flowing, divides the municipalities of Diano d'Alba, Serralunga d'Alba, Montelupo Albese and Sinio, there is the farm VEGLIO MICHELINO & FIGLIO DI VEGLIO OSVALDO

At the beginning of the 1900s it was Carlo (grandfather of the current owner, Osvaldo), along with his father Michele to run the company. In 1935, Michelino was born, who at the age of 10 left school to help his father work and who, with his desire to work, (still today, despite his 80 years of age, still has) a company with a strong expansion characterized mainly by the new vine plants that will flank the Dolcetto vine: Barbera and Nebbiolo from which the King of Wines is obtained with aging: Barolo.

  • At the beginning of the 90s, after completing the course of viticultural-enological studies, the current owner Osvaldo, son of Michelino, came to the company and began working alongside his father and his mother Giuseppina.

Next to the vineyards of Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo, the lands are then flanked with vineyards of Chardonnay, Sauvignon, and Moscato and a right mix of experience (Michelino) and innovation (Osvaldo) is created, leading to 18 increasingly good wines. close to consumer needs.

  • In 2007 Marco, the brother-in-law of Osvaldo, arrives in the company, with whom he starts to probe new markets, subsequently consolidated thanks to the international wine consultant Sebastiano Ramello.

In July 2014 he started working in the company the latest arrival of the family: Veglio Simone, who just finished his studies at the enological school of Alba began to work alongside his father and grandfather, in the cellar and in the works in the vineyards. Simone represents the fifth generation of the Veglio Michelino & figlio company.

In September 2015 the new cellar was inaugurated consisting of two departments: the aging department, consisting of 50 hl Slavonian oak barrels as in the Piedmontese tradition, and the tasting room.
